How Sweet It Is
I’ll Take A Melody
Forever Young
Stop That Train
Harder They Come
That Lucky Old Sun

This odd little show came about as part of Jerry’s court ordered community service after his drug bust.

From the original uploader:

Just received this CDR in a trade…”Yeah man…Jerry Band on a big boat in the bay from ’87, you’d dig it”….and while I had my doubts about this, after a listen I can confirm that it certainly sounds like 87 era JGB and after checking (bless them, nice people) I can also confirm that this is the show from March 6, 1987. I took a look at the bt.etree show listings and this did NOT seem to be listed anywhere this newbie could find it….so I’m going ahead an up’ing it here for further review……

Anyone got ANY ideas how JGB ended up doing a set on the USS Carl Vinson on a Friday in March 1987? Love to hear the tale…..

Sound quality is listenable, though spotty at times. Certainly worth the download, especially if you consider yourself a boat buff…..

  1. Errrm… it’s a warped logic which “punished” Jerry by
ordering him to play a gig 🙂

  2. Indeed. I guess they figured what else could this old fat guy do? I would have loved to see the reactions of these old navy guys watching Jerry jam on their big military boat.
